It is categorically unacceptable and illegal to conduct the presidential elections of the Russian Federation within the occupied regions of Georgia. Such action flagrantly violates the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia, starkly contradicting established international norms.

Today, as Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region remain occupied, I appeal to the international community to respond appropriately to these illegal actions of the Russian Federation, which undermine the sovereignty of the country.

The President of Georgia raised the mentioned issue with Jens Stoltenberg today at the Orbelian Palace and condemned it once again.
