The President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, in the framework of the Ukraine Peace Summit, met with the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu.

At the Summit meeting in Switzerland, two countries’ presidents expressed their full support for Georgia’s and Moldova’s European path, the President of Georgia congratulated Maya Sandu on the decision to open negotiations for joining the European Union and noted that Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine will soon continue to move together on the European path.

During the meeting the Presidents exchanged views on the steps to be taken against the Russian hybrid war, which is the current reality and one of the challenges of both countries. It was noted, that Russia, according to its own interests, during the current important foreign political events, strengthens the hybrid war and especially activates the propaganda, which requires joint efforts of society and the government to deal with it.

The President of Georgia was interested by the process of vetting in Moldova, the President of Moldova shared information regarding vetting in the country with the President of Georgia, which is in line with the principles of human rights protection and rule of law.
