The President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, met with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in Switzerland, withing the framework of the Summit on Peace in Ukraine.

The meeting was attended by: the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, the Head of the President’s Administration Andrii Yermak and Vice-Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

The President of Georgia congratulated the President of Ukraine for the opening of negotiations for Ukraine’s accession to the European Union and once again confirmed the full support and solidarity with Ukraine, the President expressed great hope that Georgia and Ukraine will soon continue this path of European integration together.

As the President of Georgia stated, the place of Georgia and Ukraine is in Europe. Peace in Georgia, Ukraine and the region in general is necessary and important for its future development.

During the meeting, the President of Georgia raised the issue of Mamuka Gatserelia, a captured Georgian, and the President of Ukraine expressed his readiness to work on the mentioned issue.
