The President reiterated solidarity with Ukraine and its people, highlighting Georgia's own experiences of Russian aggression, which resonate particularly given the situation in Ukraine.
The discussion also focused on the importance of Georgia's pursuit of EU candidate country status, stressing that the decision should be both political and merit-based.
President Zourabichvili noted that the Georgian people are united in their pursuit of a common goal—the European future of Georgia—representing a significant step forward in depolarization.
Furthermore, they delved into discussions regarding Georgia's Euro-Atlantic integration process. It was emphasized that Georgia should be represented at the highest level during the upcoming NATO summit in Vilnius on July 11-12, highlighting Georgia's role as a reliable partner within the alliance.
