Today, the President of Georgia, within her constitutional discretion, pardoned nineteen inmates, including two women, ahead of Easter.
The Head of the Presidential Administration made a statement about the inmates’ clemency at his press briefing.
The President of Georgia also granted clemency to 23 probationers, including two women. 21 probationers were fully released from their sentences; among them, three probationers were granted clemency for the deprivation of the right to occupy an official position or to carry out a particular activity. Two probationers had their sentences reduced.
