I want to address all citizens and emphasize how important today's election is. I'd like to highlight that there is a very high turnout, which is a great sign. Hopefully, this will continue throughout the afternoon, and we expect even higher participation. There's also remarkable activity abroad, despite difficult and challenging conditions, but our compatriots are going there actively, and we are very grateful to them.
However, I must also point out some deeply troubling incidents of violence happening at various polling stations: media equipment has been damaged, there is direct violence, and the sole purpose of the gathered groups is to create tension and confrontation. This is very unfortunate, as it affects our country's image and reputation. This shows weakness, so I urge everyone not to be afraid!
Despite this, I want to address the Minister of Internal Affairs, whom, unfortunately, we have been unable to reach, and my administration has not been able to contact his deputy either. The official government line is not working. I want to request and call on him to ensure that police responses are faster and more effective because we cannot allow this type of tension at our polling stations—this is beneath us!
Many thanks again to everyone!
I also want to thank the media, who are working under extremely difficult conditions, and we are all informed thanks to them. They have shown remarkable courage and efficiency today, especially the women. Thank you to everyone once again, and I urge you all to go out and vote! The fate of our country is in your hands and is yours to decide!
