Statement of the Administration of the President of Georgia

President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, firmly believes that freedom of speech and expression is a fundamental human right, and anything that contradicts this principle is unacceptable. Violence and the encouragement of violent groups are also unacceptable.

President Zourabichvili is urging the relevant authorities to ensure the safe conduct of the "Pride Festival" and protect the freedom of speech and expression of the participants, a right protected by the Constitution.

The "Pride Festival" will be attended by the President's advisor on human rights issues.
