At the meeting with the representatives of the accredited diplomatic corps in Georgia, the President discussed the developments in the country and spoke about the draft law "On transparency of foreign influence".

At the meeting taking place at the Orbeliani palace the President emphasized the importance of the international society’s support for Georgia’s European path and noted that it is Russia’s goal to destabilize and separate the country’s society, which he should not obtain in Georgia.

“Your support is important for the country and you should continue this support”, - the President addressed to the ambassadors.

According to the President, it is important to activate the high status visits of European leaders, which in itself will be the expression of their support.

With the statement of the President, in this situation created in the country, it is also important that people freely express their opinion and make their choice during the elections.

According to the European Union ambassador, this law contradicts and threatens Georgia’s European path.
